The brief.

Raise awareness of blood born viruses and sexual health (BBV&SH) services, including the condoms by post service, to help prevent and reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections and the number of unintended pregnancies across Lanarkshire.

What we did.

We launched the inaugural #SaferSexLanarkshire Week as a platform to communicate key messages underpinned by a multi-channel campaign using relatable content to create emotional connections, overcome stigma and support long term behaviour change.

We wanted to instill self-responsibility and motivate Lanarkshire residents to access these valuable services. Using humour in our campaign assets was vital to resonate with the younger target demographic.

The results.

  • 52% increase in requests for condoms by post during campaign
  • 173 toolkit downloads
  • 4,209 website traffic
  • 4,733 social media engagements
  • 18 piece of media coverage including print, online and broadcast
  • 8 partners secured
  • Campaign reach: 5.2m consumers
