#SaferSexLanarkshire
Promoting safer sex for young adults

Brief.
Raise awareness of blood born viruses and sexual health (BBV&SH) services to help prevent and reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections and the number of unintended pregnancies across Lanarkshire.
What we did.
We developed and launched an inaugural #SaferSexLanarkshire week as a platform to communicate key messages. A multi-channel campaign using highly visual and relatable content to create emotional connections, overcome stigma and support long term behaviour change.
There was a targeted media, community and digital campaign to increase the visibility of safer sex messaging and communicate service availability to the target audience. Introducing a sense of responsibility and empower Lanarkshire residents to access these valuable services.
We created campaign assets using humour to ensure key messaging was relatable and resonated with the younger target demographic.
Results.
- 52% increase in requests for condoms by post during campaign
- 173 toolkit downloads
- 4,209 website traffic
- 4,733 social media engagements
- 18 piece of media coverage including print, online and broadcast
- 8 partners secured
- Audience reached: 5,196,622
