Google’s AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) team has launched a new feature called Render on Idle that is designed to increase ad impressions per page by speeding up ad load when a user isn’t taking any action in a browser.

After limiting the amount of analytics in its demographic data report last week, YouTube announced it is giving creators three new metrics to help measure how videos are performing. The site is also launching a redesigned reporting dashboard and will be moving its YouTube Studio out of beta to be the default hub for creators.

Google is taking what it learned from AMP and developing web standards that will allow non-AMP content to load instantly. Content developed using this new set of web standards will appear in certain areas of Google Search, such as the Top Stories carousel.
