Blue Parrot Company feathers its nest in Edinburgh with new premises

Following the recent appointment of Sarah Crossley as regional director of business development, the company has opened a new office in Edinburgh as it grows it customer base.

The business has invested in excess of £500,000 in the last four years to expand its services and, in addition to its new Edinburgh base, now has premises across the UK in East Kilbride, the Midlands and south west of England. It has also announced plans to open a new prop hire showroom and custom built manufacturing facility in East Kilbride in July this year.

Greg Anderson, director of Blue Parrot Company Ltd, said: “The success of our sister brands Prop Me Up and Table Art have allowed us to secure strong market share in the west of Scotland and the Midlands. We are now experiencing increasing demand in the east of Scotland for bespoke corporate events, as well as benefiting from the growing trend for themed events and customised props. It was therefore a natural next step to establish a presence in Edinburgh as we continue to implement our ambitious growth strategy to become the UK’s largest event hire and management company.”

Since its inception in 2007, Blue Parrot Company Ltd has become one of the most comprehensive event companies in the UK. It is the preferred event solutions supplier for many of the UK’s top venues, wedding planners and corporate clients. Clients have included MTV, British Airways, Ryder Cup, Commonwealth Games, The Brit Awards, Emirates Airlines and the MOBO Awards.

Currently employing 10 full time and 24 part time staff, the business has grown substantially, employing five new members of staff each year since 2013. The company is on track to meet its target of £1.5million turnover by 2018.
