The Stars Shine at Marketing Society Star Awards
The top award, Marketing Star of the Year, was presented to Carol Graham, Marketing Director at Graham’s The Family Dairy. Carol has been integral in the growth of the business over the last few years to become the number one dairy brand in Scotland in a highly competitive market.
Agency Star of the Year went to Sarah Rowe, Account Director at The Union with The Leith Agency winning Agency Star of the Year. The Union also picked up the best Integrated Marketing award for their work with The Scottish Government on ‘Hide and Leek’.
It was a big night for The Scottish Government who picked up the coveted Star Marketing Team of the Year, recognising the wide range of award winning work they are responsible for which helps make Scotland a healthier and better place to live. In addition to this they also picked up the best Public Sector and best Marketing Planning awards and the first ever Digital Strategy award which was created due to the high increase this year of digital entries.
The next generation of marketers was recognised with Cassie Duncan from Multiply winning Rising Agency Star, Dave King from StudioLR winning Rising Creative Star and Dale Smith from Peter Vardy winning Rising Marketing Star.
Showcasing excellence across the industry, the Marketing Star Awards have been running for over 10 years and last night’s ceremony was attended by over 550 marketing professionals from across Scotland.
Paul Condron, chair of the 2016 awards said: “The theme for this year’s awards was ‘Aim Higher’, which all of our entrants have certainly achieved. The standard of submissions was at a record high this year, with entries really highlighting innovation, talent, leadership skills and drive.
“All our winners have demonstrated the power of marketing and to receive a Star Award is an extremely high accolade and something they should be incredibly proud of.
“Tonight really was the celebration of a world leading marketing community in Scotland.”
