Viridor gear up for Children In Need truck pull challenge
Staff at Viridor’s Material Recycling Facility at Bargeddie have been challenged by training company GTG Training to dress up as their favourite superheroes and see who can pull the massive truck the furthest distance during GTG’s Charity Fun Evening on 17 November.
John Templeton, Logistics Unit Manager at Viridor’s Bargeddie site said: “We’re all really looking forward to a bit of friendly rivalry with our colleagues at GTG Training and to hopefully raising a lot of money for Children in Need from our truck pull.
“The truck pull will be excellent fun, although it will be a very close call. However we are getting into character by embodying our favourite Superheroes so I’m sure that will give us the edge on the day!”
Fiona Smith, Business Development Manager at GTG Training said: “We are so grateful for the support of Viridor to our charity evening and we’re sure it is going to be a fantastic night! We would love to welcome all of the local residents to come along with their families and help us make a difference.
“As well as the truck pull there will also be fun and games for all the family, amazing prizes to be won, face painting, a holistic corner with tarot reading, mini massage and nails and a meet and greet with Pudsey the bear.”
The Charity Fun Evening in aid of Children in Need will take place at GTG Training Glasgow, 1330 South Street, from 4-7pm on Friday 17 November.
