Record Numbers ‘Pitch Up’ at the SEC
A staggering 25,000 visitors from all over Scotland and the North of England explored the vast selection of motorhomes, caravans, holiday homes and luxury lodges on offer and discovered the number of different options available for holidaying at home.
Organised by QD Events Ltd, the show which took place from the 2-5 February, covered every inch of space within the five halls of the vast SEC during the four-day extravaganza as well as external space to accommodate over 200 industry experts and exhibitors.
Commenting on the success of the show, Jamie Taylor, Director of the Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show said: “Mini breaks and holidays in the UK are becoming more popular with holidaymakers; caravans and motorhomes are perfect for these sorts of trips, offers people the freedom to decide where and when they would like to travel.
“Given the growth and interest within the industry, it’s no surprise that we’ve gone over and above our previous attendance figures. Visitors were buying everything from pods to luxury holiday homes and two of our most expensive motorhomes worth up to £110,000 were sold over the weekend by show sponsor BC Motorhomes.
“We’re becoming bigger and better each year and pride ourselves in being able to offer our visitors access to some of the highest quality products on the market; the wide range of models now available on the market makes them an increasingly attractive option for people of all ages.
“It’s clear that The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show is a must visit and an essential date in the Scottish event calendar.”
