The project, which has been delivered by Mactaggart & Mickel Contracts, has seen a total of five bespoke residential units provided for The Scottish Veterans’ Garden City Association (SVGCA) at Salvesen Gardens.

The terraced bungalows and semi-detached homes will provide essential affordable housing for disabled veterans in Scotland. Constructed from closed panel timber frame - supplied and erected by Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems - the homes are of high quality and show excellent energy efficiency performance.

The Salvesen Gardens project is the third that Mactaggart & Mickel Contracts has delivered for SVGCA, having previously handed over ten homes at two developments in Motherwell and Wishaw.

SVGCA is committed to providing reasonably priced rental housing for disabled veterans. It currently has over 642 homes in 74 locations across Scotland, housing those who have served in the British Armed Forces, Merchant Navy, Police or Fire Brigade and have been partially or totally disabled.
