Appetite Direct, Edinburgh First, Heritage Portfolio, Hickory and Prestige Venues & Events have been carefully selected to cater the diverse range of events which the George Street venue hosts, from conferences and exhibitions to weddings and performances, from July 2016.

The three-year contract will see these catering companies develop the venue’s hospitality, conference and banqueting offering with a wide variety of creative and exciting menus, working with local suppliers and artisan producers  around Scotland to source the best of Scotland’s natural larder.  

Shona Clelland, cultural venues development manager for Assembly Rooms, said: “Food is such a crucial part of any event so it was vital that we secured a panel of companies that would be able to provide our extensive and diverse client base with the highest standard of products and services.

“We’ve had fantastic success in securing events bookings since the redevelopment in 2012. We look forward to building on this with our catering partners who have the expertise and creativity to mirror the charisma and heritage of our historical Scottish venue.”
